This small wildlife pond with tiny stream was built within an edge of town garden and was designed to blend seamlessly whilst utilising what was once an uninteresting, unused corner of the large plot. The rocks and stone used were sourced locally to blend into the surroundings and the pond was planted in such a way that the house, tree and plants were reflected in the water, adding depth and character.
Although the pond was to have no fish, it was immediately full of newts, dragonflies, frog spawn and water boatmen which was very exciting.
